Simply a daily blog with personal comments covering all the most important (and least significant) events that happen in this gods-forsaken world (because there is more than one god), with emphasis on US and Puerto Rico politics and medical issues, law, religion, science, and anything that comes to mind. As boring as counting your ass hairs? Maybe. Insensitive? Absolutely! Enjoy it, it has been said! Sincerely...The Silver Fox! P.S. Did I mention I post in English and Spanish? Hmm

Feb 09 2012...Alberto Contador
In terms of the CAS decision, perhaps contradictory? They had reasonable doubt, but reasonable doubt is not good enough in a system in which the accused must prove he is innocent. They even provided Alberto with what would have been a more plausible defense...contaminated supplements, but not meat from a dead cow that nobody will be able to analyze. In my opinion his defense was a long shot, too good to be true, this food contamination defense made a pariah out of him
What I believe happened? Contador has a predisposition for respiratory problems, asthma. Clenbuterol is a broncho dilator, marketed as Spiropent and Ventipulmin (People with chronic breathing disorders such as asthma use this as a broncho dilator to make breathing easier) How do I know? I am a doctor! It is available in 0.01 or 0.02 mg per tablet as well as liquid preparations. That is also used for weight loss, sure, but that was not it's original intended use, it more like a repartitioning effect; its weight loss effects was discovered incidentally. It surprises me that absolutely nobody theorized his case from this angle: that he was experiencing some respiratory problems the days before the now famous positive test, used a small amount of it and got pinned.
No worries, he will be back in August, just in time to prepare himself for the Vuelta a Espana, were he will seek redemption, if you want to call redemption winning a race in your own homeland in which the RFCA (the Spanish Federation) threw the towel in for him to no avail.
Am I a fan of him? No. Am I a fan of Andy Schelck? Neither, remember he did not waited for Contador when Contador fell on the cobblestones on the same race, stage 3, so his call for foul play after the chain gate resound more with the tunes of a spoiled brat.

You make eye contact, he will measure you, he will know if you are broke or not, hell, he will even know if you pay with debit cards or not. Then comes the "Merry Christmas" when you ignore him, with the ,much anticipated effect of making you feel miserable for not giving and rather using that same dollar to play Power Ball. This is how the Salvation Army guy makes you feel...
What can i say? it is the Holidays. Though I am Jewish, I don'tmind the Merry Christmas greeting, I don't mind the Christmas lights, I don't mind the cheesy Christmas movies or the trees. You know why? Because even with the commercial racket that the Holiday means nowadays, and knowing that the true spirit has been replaced by massive consumerism, behind that face there is at least, very deep in, the message of "lets live in peace and harmony", even if it is during these "12 days' as the song says. There is beauty in every one of us, I won't let my religious beliefs ruin that wonderful perception of beauty in us. Even if it takes me several trips to the mall.

Why I don't buy into the 'Palestinian cause" marketing
The United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine was a resolution adopted on 29 November 1947 by the General Assembly of the U N. Its title was United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 (II) Future Government of Palestine.
The resolution noted Britain's planned termination of the British Mandate for Palestine and recommended the partition of Palestine into two states, one Jewish and one Arab, with the Jerusalem-Bethlehem area being under special international protection, administered by the United Nations. The resolution included a highly detailed description of the recommended boundaries for each proposed state
The proposed plan was accepted by the leaders of the Jewish community in Palestine, through the Jewish Agency. However, the plan was rejected by leaders of the Arab community, by their Palestine Arab Higher Committee, who were supported in their rejection by the states of the Arab League.
What happened? The Jews, smartly, jumped on the plan and declared independence while the Palestinians got too busy planning war, 3 of them nonetheless, unsuccessful, to keep the entire area under Arab control.
Why they rejected it? Because they wanted the WHOLE PIE for themselves, the exact same thing they now complain about the Jews. So they do have a history and a noble tradition of saying no.
Isn’t there a saying that 3rd is a charm? Well, not so fast, they were dumb enough to provoke a war in 1967 and another one in 1973, and we already know the results.
And ladies and gentlemen, that is why I feel no pity nor buy the “I am a victim” game by the Palestinians. They have a proven track record of never want to negotiate anything, they want all or nothing, so their current situation or status is well deserved due to their own inability to use COMMON SENSE as they could have accepted the plan of 1947 and have their own state back then. 64 years of futility and repeated pure, undiluted stupidity.
